Following the enthusiastic response to the Adolphus Curry day in June about this renowned local architect, members of the Architecture Section have taken a careful look at West Park Avenue, where a number of houses bear distinctive hallmarks of Curry’s idiosyncratic style. An immense amount of high-quality decorative detail can be seen in various materials, including encaustic tiles in porches and on paths, ironwork railings, leaded lights, ornamental plasterwork, and glazed decorative tiles.
