2023 saw a selection of fascinating items come into the Photographic Archive, from wistful 19th century portraits to vibrant colour transparencies capturing the 1966 sand races at St. Ouens beach.
With the Société’s 150th anniversary taking place last year, we acquired a fabulous collection of photographs chronicling the passion and hard work of the Société and its members, a treasure for future SJ enthusiasts.
Behind the scenes, the SJPA, aided by a new staff member, diligently refined our donation policies, enhancing the efficiency of donation processes and enabling a better understanding of the donation’s historical context.
